Hi All,

I mostly do trackdays once a month or every other month and am told to keep the fuel tank full between trackdays to avoid rust formation. Should I add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel to prevent the fuel from going stale or is that unnecessary? How long before the fuel goes stale? What do you guys do with your trackbikes? Also any other short term storage tips will be appreciated.:dontknow:

Fuel degrades in 90 days or less without stabilizer. Also, it now contains ethanol which is hygroscopic (absorbs water from the atmosphere); this is the primary reason to leave the tank full- to minimize the moisture volume to be absorbed. I use stabilizer when my track-bike sits, but I also try to use the fuel asap anyways. If you are talking every-other month, I would not worry too much.
