well, its not really a problem, but i removed the stock pump, sending unit, and tank base plate, and now i just want to know how to trick the comp into thinking i still have a full tank. it is only three wires to the pump assembly/ sending unit. any insight would be great. thanks

There is a power wire to run the pump, there is a signal wire to the fuel level sensor (which is simply an on/off switch), and there is a ground wire. Shop manual indicates which one does what, and whether switching it to ground indicates a "full" condition or an "empty" condition. Jumper the switch wire to ground and that's it.

But, why do you want to not know when you are about to run out of fuel?
