From my understanding when the ignition is turned on the fuel pump gets power from the relay and pumps fuel through the lines. The the issue that i'm having is that with my stock ecu it all works fine, but when i connect my race ecu it doesnt turn on the fuel pump. The guy who I got the ecu from was running it with a race harness which actually has a relay on it for the fuel and it worked fine for him..

THE PLANSo my plan is to take the relay of the race harness wire it to a power source that gets power when the ignition is turned on. Then run a lead from the positive on the battery for a 12v source and basically go from the next output on the relay and tap that into the fuel pump positive lead.

Do yall agree with my idea or do yall have any other ideas on how I should go about fixing this issue...I just want to make sure me running the power to my fuel pump like that wont cause any problems.
