I purchased smog block off plates for 28 bucks no hp gains just weight shavings and less popping in the exhuast. this is also neccessary when getting your bike tuned, they get installed on top the valve cover...read through this thread: BTW you wont have to worry about the charcoal canister unless your bike is from cali just the air injection selonid.

Just take off the airbox and simply take off each butterfly by removing the 2 small screws on each one. be sure and use a screwdriver that fits the screw heads right as they are on there pretty good some times and try not to drop the screws or flies down into the throttle bodies. and while you have the airbox off go ahead and try the airbox mod if you don't want to do the block off plates.you can also remove the servo cables from the mid area of the headers and zip tie them out of the way OR remove the completely, just leave the box plugged in unless you try Hellsrazor's servo eliminator mod (last link) i threw a couple more free mods on here as well. hope any of this helps bud!

I've got one more question. I work for Graves Racing as the Parts/ Sales guy for racing product. I got a PC5 made for my bike and while installing it i was trying to remove my airbox and I couln't figure out how to squeeze that thing out. Could you maybe shine some light on that for me?

turn it about 45 degrees counter clockwise and slip it out...some guys will remove the ram air tubes and some leave them in...the trick is to have the airbox sideways inside the frame or you'll never get it out (thank you kawi engineers!!!!)

the screws on the flies need to be heated.I just heated my screwdriver with a torch then let the screw get hot or you will strip the heads of the screws, there is loctite on them.On the block off you can just run a hose between the two
