I'm paid to support MS products. I'm one of those people who runs what he supports, so it's IE all the way. Plus, I'm a minimalist. I install as little as possible on my machines. Lean and mean = fast.

Ever since switching to fire fox I have had no pop ups ever! I also use zone alarm to block banner ads and it works great I have not had a pop up in so long I laugh when people say damn pop ups. Fire fox with zone alarm is the perfect combo ,norton is to sensitive like an annoying radar dector.

Yeah what else is new. It's always some damned plugin that creates a hole in a windows piece of software. Thats exaclty why I run a Red Hat box. No virus or pop ups or hacking on that system at all. BTW the people who make FF for windows first started with Mozilla on Unix boxes. They know a thing or two about security. It's not really the Browser.. its the OS...WINBLOWS. That makes us so damed vulnerable to hackers and virues.

Any OS out would have the same problems if there was the same amount of programming talent looking for any flaw possible like MS has aimed against it. The real security of the "other" OS's is the limited attacks.

Im just a good office suite away from going all Linux. Gentoo Rules!!!

Id pick up a Mac, Those Power Books are sexy, but god damn they are expensive.

Ill keep one winblows box current to game on, but other than that Im just about ready to leave the damn OS behind.

Ive been hearing some good things about IE7, and its about time, but It drives me nuts just feeding the M$ machine.

i've always run IE since Netscape 5 sucked so much... And never had a problem with viruses or spyware... I seriously worry about the IQ of anyone who can't not get infected by spyware from web surfing...they shouldn't be allowed to drive anything at all, let alone a bike.

Firefox. What's a popup? What's spyware? Hell, I don't even run AV software.

Damn. Sorry dude. That must suck.

BTW, IE is ANYTHING but 'lean and mean'. It goes along with all the other bloat-ware that Micro$oft peddles.

Lean and mean meaning i only install software i need and kill services i don't. I'm far from blind to the problems MS has, but as I said b4, pays my bills.
