I saw on here that servo buddies were having issues on gen 5's, obviously the best course of action is the flash, but I'm a few weeks away from being at that point, I just receive a brand new Brock's 3/4 exhaust and really would like to put it on and run it. I saw some guys simply unhooked the cables on the gen 4s and left the servo motor on with no issues, is that the same case with the Gen 5? I'd really like to be able to use my exhaust until I'm ready for the flash. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can just remove the cables from the motor. You will still hear the motor when you turn the key on, but that's about it. I did this for a few hundred miles before I decided on who I wanted to flash my ecu.

Awesome! I already know where I'm getting my flash at, I just got a really good deal on a brand new alien head so I pulled the trigger. It'll be on tomorrow so that makes me extremely happy knowing I can do that.
