So I am selling parts from my wrecked bike and I have someone from craigslist who wants my ignition, gas cap and rear seat lock. I guess my only issue is I have a strange feeling they are buying it to put it on a stolen bike... why else would they want those parts specifically? What do you guys think? Say forget about it and just sell them to make some money or what...

I purchased a clean bike site unseen, and realized when I got home the ignition was cracked and the key only worked one way.....I'm in need of all of those parts....

If everyone had second thoughts about selling stuff because of what it might be used for, then nothing would be sold.

They're just parts. I don't see how selling them could reflect poorly on you. What the person does with them afterwords is their business. Even if their bike is stolen, they'll never get a title for it, so they shouldn't (theoretically) be able to use it anyways.

Well he hasn't emailed me back about buying them since i sent him pictures. The reason I was questioning it in the first place was because of the fact that he just wanted to communicate through email... and the thing that makes something legit to me is being able to speak over the phone about it instead of email which could be coming from who knows who and who knows where. Anyway... the parts are available if someone is interested, ill post in the parts and gear section for all of the remaining parts.

Sooner or later, he needs to send you his address for shipping, right?

Can't be completely anonymous, even if you only use email. The phone thing is odd though...but hey, maybe he's just shy.
