All right all you tire freaks here's one for ya http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/545/3841/Motorcycle-Article/Dunlop-Sportmax-Q2-Product-Review.aspx let the tyre wars begin

But if every tire lived up to their magazine test hype...then no one's preference would be justified unless they are just loyal to the brand. Because everything would then be "the stickiest and longest lasting while providing maximum feedback and with quick warm up time"...there wouldn't be anyway for us normal people to tell the difference between them. I will wait for some "real world" judgments to come in before I give my opinion on a tire.

I have a "family" sponsorship with B-Stone....nuff said on my part:lol::badteeth:

Seriously whats an economical but sticky tire?

Before the tire brand battle gets out of hand .......I would like a couple suggestions for a street tire that can take distance rides and still grab when i need it too. I heard rumors of a triple compound.......anyone got any info on that. Thanks for the help

Well Dunlop actually offers some pretty decent tyres so does Avon. Have to say at this point I'm partial to Avon over Dunlop......that being said I do have a set of Bridgestone BT-002s just waiting to be abused!!

What?? I love my Qualifiers as it is and now this? For the street AND track, they are great, I can't imagine a "better" Qualifier. The article did not mention when they will be available through retail. I just slapped on a new pair of Qualifier rubber right before Father's Day. I guess I have to get these now, lol. Good find :eek:ccasion1

Front tire .....smaller ? Stock size? Doesnt matter?

I had Qualifiers and loved them, drove through some serious rain with no problems. I am planning on slapping on two of the Q-2s from this article. When i originally bought my first qualifiers I opted for a front tire that they had in stock which was a size smaller. The only affect they described was a slightly lower front end. The tires held up great and handled anything i could throw at them (which was pretty gentle towards until towards the end).

My QUESTION is should i go back to stock tire sizes? or go with a smaller size front like i had? or It doesnt really matter ?:dontknow:

all advice welcome......:eek:ccasion1
