I suspect the electronic "tail" circled in orange is related to the Gen6 ABS system. If you have a Gen5 with OEM harness, can you tell me if this is on your tail? If so, let me know if you have an ABS version or not, too, please.

Having watched the Gen5 ABS eliminator/dongle install in slow-mo on YT, the color wires on that wiring tail look like two on my wiring tail. I included a close-up of my wiring tail with the wire colors.

I have the '21 ABS and am working on tracking down the ABS wiring. My hypothesis is that's the spot but the easiest way to know is for someone with a Gen5 ABS to advise if they've got that given the wire coloring similarity. Mine is a 6-barrel connector. Gen5 vids re: the OEM ABS Dongle show it should be 2-pin.

In another thread a member indicated to disable Gen6 ABS with Kawi's Dongle, which I think is very likely correct. I2M offers a solution via HSBK but its >$200, I'm going to push Kawi to own up to their marketing that says they offer one for ~$25. The HSBK one is great in that you can take the whole system out, I'm not sure that's an option with Kawi's dongle. I ride street and prefer having ABS there while turning it off for trackdays. My worst-case situation is a refund from Kawi for their Dongle and a buy of I2M's.

My local Kawi tech talked to Kawi engineering who said, "it's on the right side but in a different spot than Gen5." I can't find it and there's only so much wiring loom to look at. This thing is my only guess as to what they're referring but obviously it won't fit OEM 2-pin Dongle. Then either they provide real guidance, or they change their page so it doesn't offer a Gen6 option.

Whatever the outcome I'll share it with the community. That is part of my drive to get down to the real answer.

My gen 5 uses a small cheap dongle there are two locations that it can be plugged into one up front and right the other under the tail on the right similar to what is shown in pics, it only functions properly under the tail, permanent disabled rear abs with option on dash to enable or disable front abs, with dongle installed the system can safely be removed if the weight saving is what you want but then why not just buy without abs in the first place
