Yeah Nam3less...I'm running that setup. While I like the look (I got smoke), I was less impressed with function. I mean, it work...I'm just nitpicking I guess. My issues were as follows:
  • Only the 2 separate connectors for the blinkers and no ground. (I guess it's sharing the ground in the 3 prong taillight connector)
  • No factory plug and play. I had to cut my connectors and splice the hot into each to get a clean install
  • They blink perfectly while I'm riding but I noticed sporadic flashing at times when idling
Look is fine. I mated it with the Yoshi fend elim with the license plate light. very very clean look.

Now I'll tell you what I was really impressed with and that is the CRG levers. Sooooooo much improvement over that stock BS.

yeah that's what I was expecting out of this. Is your the DMP brand or another brand? only things I worry about it the weird blinking (unless it is made to do that) and how much of a cut on the connectors. I figured I would have to splice the turn signals together. Is yours smoke or clear. looks very clear to me. more clear than stock. and If you had to choose all over again would you still get this? If you can make a video please do. thanks man rep sent.

Based on our limited options...yeah, I'd do it again. As for the splice, I cut the turn signals about 3" from the stock connectors on the shovel side and just bent the ground back. I crimped the hot then wrapped the whole cut in elect tape. Since the light wiring gave so much slack, I fed it around the outside of the trunk cubby to the right so they'd all be out of sight.

I suppose I could have just cut the connectors out totally and just did a straight crimp but I didn't think of it since I was so fixated on the disappointment of the lack of simple plug-n-play...especially at $175.

I can't tell you the mfr but mine is exactly identical to the pictures you posted. I chose smoke and yeah it's not as dark as I'd thought but I wasn't gonna fight it at that point because I wanted that shovel gone!

I'm on vacation all next week so I'll get you a video in a few.

I finally broke down an bought one and installed it. here are the photo's and my review on it. I like the light and the signals. I got my light from surfsidemoto.com . it was the best price I have found and ironically the shipping was the next day because it came from lake Havasu, Az. Got an email right away from Jeff with all information for my order. I have to say that everything is great quality in the light, install took about 30 mins to install (mostly because i didn't know what I was doing) and I worked on a few other things during that. I have had the best service and I will definitely be ordering from him again.

Unboxing and view off the bike:

Before:

After:

Install was easy. 1 cable in the back of the light and 2 screws in the back of the light that need to be removed to take out the old light. do everything in reverse to get them it in. now the turn signals in the light are 2 different connectors one grey and another black. pictures are below. you can simply connect each wire to the right part of the connector as you are looking at it.

Black connector:

Grey connector:

here is a link to a video of what it looks like:

I hope this helps anyone else that gets one. or is thinking about getting one. I do have a targa fender eliminator on the way that's why I don't have a bracket on the bike for the license plate. I will post an install review next about that. here are some pictures of that:

customled.com hands down has a better intergrated LED taillight. Its plug and play with even the turn signals and its only 130.00 and its programmable with different brightnesses and even has a tail light demo thats pretty cool. I have it on my bike and love it.

the blaster x leds look a bit brighter and I can tell the turn signals are on alot more than the DMP, but the DMP is awesome for 85 bucks.....

looks better than clear alternatives.... I was debating the DMP though, seen them on EBAY and they make good stuff....

I have the DMP on my Gen 4 and I like it. The only thing that is odd is at speed the bliners blink normal and when going slow or setting still they blink hella fast. I know why they blink hella fast but I cant figure out why they blink normal at speed.

I debated on getting this, but then I thought about it, for an additional 30 bucks, I can get the euro lights...I just hated looking at the black tail fairing that substitutes where the euro turn signals would go. Plus it's as close to street legal look as possible so it lessens the chances of me getting pulled over for dumb reasons.

ok glad im not the only one experiencing the fast blinking at a stand still. I think its dude to no ground wire to either plug. guess its not a problem.
