I don't see anything on the list that will be able to run with the GSXR750. :dontknow:

Nice payout for the over-all winner. And 20th gets a nice check too.

What do you think?

Chris

Oh, looks like in the next few days the rules for Liter bike will be out. Might be interesting...

I think I will build me a bike so when only 19 entrants show up I can make 1 lap and pocket $5 grand.

Actually not me but I am sure there will be a lot of that go on.

Did they hire Karl Marx as a consultant? Sounds like everyones worst fears have been confirmed. This is the end of motorcycle racing and the beginning of motorcycle entertainment.

Yip, if that's going to be the 'pinnacle' of AMA motorcycling, it'll be the joke of the biking world...

That's pretty much what we run in BEARS, except you can use Jap 600's...

Ditto that on the Suzuki 750. Lets see, we will limit the class to 140 hp. So we have a 750 with 140 hp and a GSXR600 with 140 hp. They will weigh the same since it is the same hp. Right???? I wonder which one will have more torque and drive harder off the corner? It sounds like we will be seeing Kawi, Honda and Yamaha 750/4's. What a f**king joke.......

You guys are not reading the fine print. If a bike is determined to be better than the others it will be penalized in some way, just like one that can't keep up will be given extra advantages whatever that means.

It sounds like they want every bike to run one behind the other in a train like fashion. Sound familiar?

Uhhhh...no. It means that the 600's will have the same chance at winning as the 750.

Personally, I would NOT allow the 750 into the 600cc class. I also would not make any allowances for anthing other than 600cc-675cc. That way you can run the Triumph 675.

You guys really just need to sit back and see how things develop over the next several months and over the next year or so. Maybe if some of the maufactures weren't being such candy asses about this, everyone could have hashed this out.....but some had to take their ball and go home.

I for one will keep an open mind about the changes and see how the racing is. If it sucks, I will be the first in line to call for change. But at least wait until everything is set and there are a couple of races before you start going off and bitching about this.......

I agree. Sit back and watch what happens, it's the only thing we all can do anyways.

The 750 rule is surprising to me, until the other OEMs can build a 750 (as if they would even bother for this series) the "Superbike" series is just being handed to Suzuki. Maybe the Duc 848 can compete but I doubt it. The 600s of the other 3 manufactures will be completely uncompetitive.
