Im in need of new tires for my zx10r.

Currently have Q2's on and might want to try another tire just to see what else is out there.

I do a few track days a year, and then just street riding.

Any suggestions from you guys would be nice.

Thanks in advance!

How have the Q2's worked for you? What are you looking for that makes you want a different tire. There are tons of opinions on which tire is better but your intended use (and experience on Q2's) would help better be able to point you in a direction...

Hypersport S-20 FTW :rockwoot:

I've tried the Q2s, Corsa III, PP 2CT's, BT 16 and of all of them I felt more comfort and input on the S-20s than the rest. But they are also the newest developed street tire I have used. I will try and look forward to the Q3s.

Q2's have less grip than the OEM BT016 in the wet! Well that was my impression! After a few hundred miles on the new Q2's, the worn-out BT-016's still seemed to have more "upright" grip than the Q2's when the roads were wet!

This surprised me as everybody really says how crap the OEM Bt-016's are! Comparing the Q2's to the worn-out BT-016's in the bends they feel loads better! But I suspect a new set of BT-016's would have felt a lot better too, so thats not so easy to compare.

Just my feedback!

R-10's all the way!!!!!!! N-tec Great Britain if you can get them....or supercorsa's as 3rd choice.

bt-016's are ok till they over heat then bammmm no warning.....on your head.....:(

Just remember DOT race tires are BAD till warmed up.....but amazing once up to temp.
Just my opinion....but learned my lesson with oem tires (BT,Q2-3,PP'S,diablos...etc...)...never again.

I just got a set of pilot power 3's. Haven't gotten a chance to use them since my bike is running so lean.

Corsa II's just went on my bike today, going to break them in tomorrow on the ride out and rape them on the way home. :thefinger
the Rosso Corsa is a great tyre, got 6540 km out of mine so far but gonna have to get a new set soon, probably 200km left in em, but really grippy tyres

Yup....Love em. Just went out and scrubbed the shine off on a twisty road, started to push and push......grip right out of the box, excellent.

My co-worker put em on his 2009 FZ1 last weekend and was raving about them. He runs the 190/50 on the back, mines the 190/55 obviously. Really nice tall profile to, really feels flickable again. Of course once your wear the shit out of the sides of your tire, any new tire feels better.

Won't recommend that 016 to anyone....doesn't hold up on a 10R, might be ok on a 600. Or something gutless like an R1.

My next tires are going to be the Q3 too.

I dont think you cant go wrong with the hyper street tires from any of the big ones

Dunlop Q2/Q3

Pirelly Corsa II

Michelin Pilot Power III

Bstones BT16 Pro or S20

I would not recommend any type of track tires for the street.
They take a while to warm up, and before that they are really slippery.
They dont last too long, and dont like heat cycles.

just did a trackday with and got to ride a buddies bike with pilot power 3s on his 2012 zx10 and they are AWESOME at the track. and after putting in some decent laps over a couple sessions the tires still looked basically brand new (still could see the 2ct imprint on the edge of the tire despite using it/spinning it all the way out to the edge)
