I have accidentally mixed up my gen1 and gen2 stock exhaust cams :BangHead:

I can see visually the differences but i cannot know which one is which.
Can someone help? Anyone who has both maybe? Or measure them?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks all.

I didn't think they were different tasos, are you sure?

I'd use a micrometer to measure lobe size - base circle vs. peak. See if they are different. The lobe shape is hard to judge without a machine.

It's the 06 one you sent me, remember?

I did measured them, they are different.
Also p/n's are different 49118-0023 (04) and 49118-0045 (06).

If i post a pic is it possible to remember it? Long shot i know..

LOL oh yeah :)

The '06 had greater lift and duration I think, justifying the swap. So the larger base-long side dimension should be the '06 cam.

Cam Heights

The Gen 1 is as follows:

Ex - 34.942mm - 35.058mm (height)

Gen 2:

Ex - 34.443mm - 34.557mm (height)

Cam designation is #1001EX for both Gens (found near end of each EX camshaft)

Cam designation is #1001IN for both Gens (found near end of each IN camshaft)

those height measurements mean nothing and tell u nothing about the durations of these cams. assuming those measurements are from the base of the cam to the nose, the 04 ex. is .5 mm larger, or about .020. this difference could be all in base circle, all in lift or any combination of either. lift is easily measured with a dial indicator. base easily ckd. by a quick comparison of valve clearence between these two cams bolted in.

while doing resarch on cams a few weeks ago i read basically every thread on here about cams, degrees, lift/duration and the common answer was the gen1 exhaust cam was the best one to have.

I found another new 06 stock exhaust cam and compared them. You can see the difference in the lobes. They are different for sure. Gaz is right (again) 0.5mm.
I'll try to take a shot of them side by side. The "fatter" one is the gen1.
