Well i posted awhile back that i work for american honda and won in a raffle and was getting a cbr1000rr for $5.3k

well god bless honda and all there polititcs. someone higher up the food chain must have wanted that bike.

i had my loan set up, bought all new red gear for me and my old lady. and was just waiting, and waiting, and waiting.

then i get a call saying i cant purchase the bike because they've decided to put it back in inventory, sorry about the inconvienence.

i went ballistic calling everyone trying to fix this, i was like WTF?!? i just spent like 900 on gear, and most of it closeout item i cant return.. all i kept getting was excuses.

so 3 days later i see the bike being hauled off in the back of a truck....inventory my ass. i was told by alot of people that that raffle is fixed anyway.

th eday before the raffle the box was overflowing with entries , and the day off it was almost empty! i only think i was in there because i didnt enter till the last minute. i think they pull out all but the important people names.

right now if honda didnt pay my bills id say F*CK OFF

so today is my b-day and my old lady has been buggin. shes wanted me to get a bike ever since that happened. i think shes more upset and pissed than i am.

ive already called the local dealer and they have 2 magma reds left and are lettign them go for 8,999otd. thier not opened till tomorrow.

so tomorrow morn i will be in there picking up my second 10r.

this is the 3rd time something has stepped in and kept me from purchasing a honda bike, i guess it just wasnt meant to be. so i wont be getting a good deal on a used honda, but i'll be getting a good deal on a better bike.

Wait a minute, You won a raffle? Were the tickets free?

If not, and the bike was put back into inventory, where did the money go?

Talk about a corrupt organisation. I could personally see quitting under thoe those circumstances.

I hope you ride your 10R to work.

it was free, and no i didnt pay. but still sucked.

they were even sending me e-mails saying congradulations and blah blah.

Get a copy of your notification of winning the raffle (in writing) and then file a claim with the labor, wage and hour board....

Get in touch with the HR department...they might be able to help you out...unless they were the ones running the raffle. Tell them what happened and ask them about your options.

That sucks.

For sure ride that 10r to work even if you say nothing more about them ripping you off for the bargain price.

They should have at least offered you a new bike at cost. No where near the same bargain but would have been something at least.
They could have offered it betting you'd say no thanks.

I certainly wouldn't participate next go-around f'sho.

It's unfortunate, promotions like this are suppose to encourage employee moral and loyalty.

Sounds like you did all you can do, now go buy a bike to match your new gear :spit:

Didn't HAVE to give you your deposit back with nothing to deliver? Are they high? WTF?
