What's up guys,

I've got a Gen 3 ZX10, and I believe I have reached a point where I have made as much power as possible without upgrading the engine itself. I'm trying to do some research on head porting and cam options and it just doesn't seem me like there is a lot of info out there, especially regarding a Gen 3. Here's my current mods:

Rebuilt bottom end (thanks to a K&N oil filter)
Thin Headgasket
Factory Cams degreed
Full Akro carbon system
K&N Air Filter
16/44 Gearing
Woolich ECU flash with PC5 Autotune
Bike made 188whp on a local dyno

Honestly, the bike is mainly street raced but I plan to eventually do drag racing once my buddies Gen 4 is done being built so low end power can be sacrificed for midrange and upper increases. Who does the best work? Being that I've already paid to have my bottom end redone I'm not looking to tear it back down to install a higher compression piston just yet so I don't need anything too extreme. I've seen the web cams recommend a compression bump.

I was planning on calling Carpenter this week to see if they are willing to sell just their head/cam package minus the install and tune but I wanted to post up here first in case anyone had any other companies or recommendations.

Attached a pic of my ride for the hell of it. Favorite bike I've ever owned!

Yes mate Rob Carpenter will do the head + can package for you. He does only port for top end power so if it's a drag bike then great & also take his +1mm valve job as well but you get the valves from a Gen 1 head your self the down side is the inlet valves are steel but that's out weighed by the greater air flow. stock Gen3 retainers are good for his springs don't buy his retainers it was only Gen1 retainers that were weak. His Webb RE- grinds are suited to his large port work. As people have asked why not just use a Gen1 head well you just won't get the compression as the pent roof is s different shape.

Glad to hear it. Guess I'll be giving him a call here in the next few days and seeing what he can do for me!
