Custom LED blaster-x tail light

Hey guys, was looking into getting a custom LED blaster X tail light to get rid of the rear blinkers and clean up the rear end. Has anyone used this one before? If so they recommend a flasher relay. What happens if I don't get the flasher relay. Will the blinkers both blink faster or only the front blink faster or what will happen, does anyone know? And does anyone have any comments about this product on the gen 4

Yes, used them lots of times before. Had one on my G4 and I think I still do. It was for sale for awhile, but I think it's still in the garage. It's the best one out there in terms of brightness and signals.

Yes, it will flash fast, and so what? The fronts are LED also and the faster blink rate helps draw attention to the signal. And because they're LED, the response time is instantaneous. The only reason the stock ones blink the way they do is to allow the incandescence bulbs to warm up and reach full brightness in the timeframe given. Regardless of all that, if you do want them at the same blink rate then you'll need the flasher relay.

Old pics of it from my for sale thread. I need to make sure it's still on the shelf. I can't remember at this point. :badteeth:

What I'm saying is willl the front and the rear blink at the same rate or will I have a fast front And a slow back blink rate etc. I just want them to be blinking at the same rate I don't care how fast as long as they both work at the same rate and are you selling that?

Yes, they both blink at the same rate. That's what the flasher controls. The fast flash rate is decided to let the rider know if an incandescent bulb has failed and keep the warmup time on those OK. With this LED light installed on the rear, it will trigger this mode and cause the whole system to flash faster, but at the same rate on all the indicators.

Yes, I'm selling it if I still have it. I just need to verify that when I get home tonight to locate the box and make sure I still have it. I...um...sort of forgot. The pics were taken to post it for sale and don't think it sold and I haven't followed up trying to. I just need to track it down when I get back home tonight. :helmet:
To be totally honest though I kind of want to buy a new one. especially with electronics I want it fresh and new. Unless yours is new condition? Works perfectly? And if u did still have it what is your price

That's cool. No worries. I was just letting you know it is still available as an option. At least I will know that later today. It's not new, it's used. But it works perfectly and looks perfect as well. I have no idea what I listed it for sale before though. I'll let you know for sure on all this when I get out of work.
sounds good thank you..

Ahhhhh so im not the only one who believes this theory?! Ahhhh-HAAAaaa!!:helmet: Was just talking to someone about this the other day. Yea if you want normal blink rate you get resistors but i dont care - i like the fast blink rate - seems like more of a chance at being noticed and at that fast rate, people shouldnt miss it! Heck i bet i could cover a football field at times between normal blink times!:badteeth:
Id buy anything from SD, its probably very well maintained and spotless if i know the dude!

I'm most likely just going to order one new tonight. It's nothing personal I just don't like buying used anything because I got a good job I like everything to be new. Only reason I got a 2015 ZX10 is because in 2015 I totaled my 07 zx10 that I bought new in 07. Once I have this bike" my dream bike" i use it till it's done and so therefore I want my parts on it to be as new and as long lasting as they possibly can . I'm sure there's someone in here that's looking for a deal on the best taillight there is. There's no way that thing is going to be hard to sell. But I'm stubborn and I want a bran new one lol.
I'm just here for all the blinks.

Anyhow, what type of headlight bulbs do we have? And are there bulb replacements that are much better and brighter?
Well, I found the taillight I have. Ironically, I found it in the last place I put it. :badteeth:

Aside from that, my post wasn't specifically to sell you a taillight. It was intended to let you know that I've used it before to answer your original question and to let you know it was available. Here's some pics of it I just took after putting my hands on it. If you wanna go new, feel free.

Yeah, they're H7 bulbs. The better replacements would be getting HID kits and wiring those up.

No, you're not the only one! I always liked the faster blink on the LED lights for the attention it drew. It causes the incandescent bulbs to be dimmer, but the LEDs were nice faster!

And thanks for the endorsement! :ayyy:
