I have mine set up like that, cant say if it helped at all since I did it with some other things but I never had any problems with it. I will be setting it up the same way when my bike goes back together next month.

I got decent dyno results 10 years ago on my ZX12. 2-3hp average gain. Me and a friend did alot of testing on and off of the dyno.

There is a decent vacuum on the 3rd gen 10s, so I would assume there are some small gains to be had. I made a short youtube vid. showing vacuum on my 08 at various throttle positions. There were several skeptics out there, so I put a guage on it. I have not had my 10 on a dyno though, so I cannot say for sure how well it works.

I removed the vacuum mod. because it is not legal to run on the track.

crankcase evacuation

dsabat correct, takes a vacum pump to produce meaningful results, as the pro stock bikes run. weight and space rule them out on our ten's.
