I'm thinking of removing the left side switchgear (lights, etc etc) but the wiring which connects to the main harness also carries the clutch sensors.

Can I run with the clutch sensor disconnected or will the ECU do something nasty?

I believe its a open switch, which means that its only completed when the clutch is pulled in... thus letting your bike start in gear when its pulled in.. so u will have to start in neutral only if u disconnect it.. I heard on zukis that if u wire it closed it mess's with the mapping. dunno about kawi though.

On my 01 zx6r the switch went bad and I couldn't start the bike unless I bump started it.
