Hi,

I'm not sure if I have a problem or not.

I am experiencing a shudder - I can feel it through the clutch lever and gear lever. It feels like the clutch is snagging.

This is happening in 3rd and 4th - sometimes second - either when changing up or down.
Sometimes it isn't there at all.

Is this the Slipper Clutch in action or do I have a problem?

I'm still running in so this is all at under 6k revs.

Anyone have any idea's?

Cheers

Sounds like the slipper to me. Not that I know anything.

Sometimes I feel it when upshifting under hard acceleration.

On downshifting you'll feel a bang at the clutch lever if the slipper clutch is engaged. The slipper only activates when you are down shifting from high rpm, and not matching the revs. If that's what your talking about,it's normal.

If it's shuddering or 'chattering' the plates may be dry. I noticed that mine was a little grabby leaving from a dead stop, and occasionally didn't like to disengage when pulling up to a stop in 1st with the lever in(it did disengage, just took it a sec. to break the plates apart). I pulled the cover and removed the plates, let the friction plates soak in a oil bath overnight and reassembled the next morning. Problem solved for me, silky smooth now.
