Hi,

I have an issue with my '05 ZX10R clutch cable:
The clutch cable can jam during tight turn at slow speed (parking lot) and then snap inadvertently back. I am always extra cautious when parking the bike because of that. I tried to re-route the cable but without any success so far.

Has anyone of you experienced the same issue? How to fix it?

Thanks.

It sounds like it could be badly routed.

Mine comes out of the lever assy, runs in front of both fork legs and then tucks neatly under the r/h upper fairing panel and goes under the tank....I have no issues with that binding or catching.

Where is yours going ?

The way it happens is at the fork level: there is a metal plate bolted to the triple clamp that holds the plastic hooks for the clutch and the wire harness. When I turn completely to the right, the cable passes in front of that metal plate and get caught until I turn to the left and it snaps back in place.

The cable rooting is the factory one.

I fixed it this night: I put a zip tight next to the place that was causing the trouble. It is now fine.
