I sent these guys my warmers for repairs and I haven't heard a peep in 3 weeks. After that I tried calling them but got disconnected numbers. Anybody know WTF is going on in Red Hook , New York?

Typical helpful response from that guy.

I’m not sure if they’re in the area that’s just been hammered with snow over the last little while and without power. They’re a reputable place so I’m sure there’s more to it and they aren’t trying to dodge you.

Ya, weather up there has been crazy, and track season is kicking off in the warmer climates (or in full swing if you're far enough south) so they're probably swamped, if they can even make it in to work! Typically they've been fairly responsive when I've needed help. I'd just shoot an email or give another ring.

Since we are on the subject and this very topic has been going through my mind a lot recently. I gotta say I don't think the Chicken Hawk stuff is all that great. Best known maybe and sure they have some decent customer service which is more of a rarity in this day & age, but in the grand scheme of tire warmers they are not my first choice. I currently own 5 sets of tire warmers from various brands and I have owned at least a dozen more since the mid-90's and have sold quite a few to customers as well and my favorites are the Woodcraft. I don't know if they outsource them or make them themselves etc, but in my experience the Woodcraft warmers take more abuse for a longer time than any other brand on the market without failure.

The worst by far were the Bikers-Lab. They became unusable within 2 days at the track.

You may be right. I will say this though.My privateer model warmers are 8 plus years old and I do about 14 to 18 trackdays a year. They work very well for me and just developed a short in the power cord which was fixed for less than 50 bucks so I am happy with them. Pros may require a higher standard but I'm good with them.

That's actually pretty good and I would never complain with that kind of use out of them.
