Hi,

I'm busy installing the transmission bearings on my bike and ran in to a bit of a problem.
On the tail side of the shaft the clutch runs on there is a housing with a bearing. The bearing I removed had a dust seal on the inside but my new bearing does not have this dust seal.

Do I need the seal? This bikes are expensive to fix, need to make sure of this.

I'm not real sure what bearing you're talking about or what that picture is of. So maybe a little bit clearer on what which you're asking about so we can help. :dontknow:

I think that's the O ring your meaning & yes if it's not RE-fitted with that your going to have oil sealing out down by the front sprocket. If the old one is undamaged it'll be fine to RE-use.

Hi, Its on the input shaft not output.

I did manage to get hold of microblue bearings, they said its a low pressure oil channel so no seal is required on the inside. A few zx10r builders I know confirmed this.
Its part number 92045B that goes into that housing and then into the side of the engine case, holds the input shaft in place.
