I'm having no luck finding a titanium welder, or a replacement midpipe for my Akra Evo system, do can I braze it? Will it be strong enough to support a muffler?

If you're on GTAM, ask there. There were some welders on the board.

With the right filler metal it can be brazed. If it was me I would tig weld it though.

i dont know where you are located.

But maybe if you have a really high performance shop around you they should be able to weld titanium no problem.

Agree, Make sure you use 99.999% Argon and use carbide to file off the excess weld, A good weld will look like mercury but to much heat it will become brittle and discolored. people assume welding Titanium is hard because its alot heavier than aluminum but half the weight as steel, the only real diference is the heat introduced, clean work area and no dust in the environment. You should be able to find a welder that will weld it up in your area.

No you cant braze it.

No you can not braze titanium.

just remember titanium has to be sealed off and covered in gas front and back or the weld wont be strong.
