Recently when I had my tank off i pulled the air filter out mainly just to see it and then put it right back in.....anyway, when i pulled it out one side was really dirty and covered in bugs....the other side, like brand new.....my question is "Is this normal" or does it have something to do with vacuum sync.....I can only guess since i am dumb when it comes to the mechanics......If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Do you mean that only one side (ie: left or right) was dirty?

When I removed mine, both left and right sides of the filter were gray with dirt. The middle, however, was clean. I believe this is normal due to the orientation of the ram air ducts.

If only one side is dirty, I'd check out to see if the ram air snorkels are fitted properly to the frame. If misaligned, your 10R might be feeling a little asthmatic.
