take the clutch cable loose from the rod, turn and lift out. that springs purpose is to keep the rod in proper position and tension to lock in with the pressure plate puller that releases the clutch.pay attention to its position before removal and when reinstalled, u may have to lift up just a little for it lock in place correctly. i would replace soon as it can get out of place and chew up the pressure plate puller.

Ok...sounds easy enough. Thanks. At $1.70ish I think ill order a few just in case.
