Ok did the search but still have a question for the members here.

Which Front and Rear Brake Pads do you think is best for

STREET use.

Now we use a different material for the rear.

So give us your preference and reason please.

We have,

STOCK.

EBC.

FERODO

VESRAH

I am currently using the EBC HH Sintered. But would like to hear what my brother's here like and why.

I'm getting some light squeaking outta my EBC's.

Even after cleaning the pads and sanding the rotors.

Gets on my nerves, but they stop great. No fade as of yet.

EBC rear and OEM CBR 1000RR in the front. Works very good thus far...although I do have rotors and lines front and rear too.

Ferodo, guess who makes over 90% of the stock pads on bikes from the factory?

The Ferodo STs (HH rated) are long lasting, offer excellent feel and are perfect for street riding or track days with little to no fade. I have yet to have a customer be disappointed after putting these pads on.

I prefer EBC. I do not ride what most consider "normal" street use, lol. I ride 'em hard. And need brakes pads that can take it. Stock doesnt cut it.

But to be fair, if you change the pads, you most certainly (at least) should upgrade the brake lines as well.

After years and years of using EBC HH pads and being happy I tried Vesrah
JL compound pads. I have never been so surprised in my life. Great power, equivalent or better than the EBC HH pads but with 1000% better feel. I highly recommend that if you are in the market for pads you try them.

I put them in my Kaw and DUC neither of which was due for pads.

As of now Galfer gold HH pads.

I dont think they have enough bite all the way around! Im running Alth rotors, nissin calipers, speigler lines and a Brembo RCS. The Brembo makes 1 hell of a difference but I still think the pads are lacking!

Definitely subscribed. Sorry I cant post in the poll

In my next set, I have no problem giving Vesrah pads a try. Thanks. :eek:ccasion1

Hey Les, My bike is back up and running. I see you came down on the price quite
a bit. You wanna sell some go fast parts off it or trade out for some stock stuff
plus some cash. Let me know. I should be coming in to a little extra cash
next weekend or the week after that. If I can get enough for what I'm selling,
I may trade Tbass my stock exhaust and shorty Muzzy slip on and 500 for his
full Akro system. So, let me know. I do not have the money to buy the bike,
with the holidays this close and 3 kids. Fuggettaboutit huh

Well i was just reading that the EBC HH pads have a back plate which is too thin and it causes the thing to warp and your brakes to drag... idk if it is true but i have EBC HH and my brakes do drag, i have the bike on the stand and spinning the front wheel i can feel it dragging.

So i will resuscitate this topic to hear some more opinions on pads

HUH? I have brand new EBC HH sintered pads on front and rear of my 10
and there's no dragging or grabbing at at. Have you checked your rotors
to see if they are warped?

I just purchased a m/c off an 07 from (kawboy10, for a great price I may add)
and looking for a set of ZX14 calipers soon, then I will upgrade my brake lines.
