if the popping on decel is pi**ing you off then fitt the block off plates,as it will stop them completly!!some say it helps throttle feel with block off plates fitted also..and it helps when on a dyno as there's no air going into the exhaust to mess with air/fuel ratio..tis up to you tho,i fitted them and all is well..

Won't make the slightest bit of difference to the engine itself.

Thanks for the info.I've got block off plates on and after 24 000k's still no problems.Got wondering about the plates when a couple of guys reckon the motor needs the reed valves.I'll rather trust you guys on this one.

tell the couple of guys(mates??)that they are only on bikes to help clean up any unburt fuel left in the exhaust when the throttle is shut...it only sucks air from the air box and shoves it down into exhaust ports,so what else can it do for there engine's??(apart from helping your carbon foot print:lol:)..

ive got it on mine and i couldnt tell a big difference at all just cleaned up all the wires and hoses and crap under the airbox lost some weight as well
