I want to go 17/41 gearing can some one tell me the best brand for sprocket and chain. I’m not to worried about price i jest want it to last longer. Mybe a hybrid rear sprocket thanks
RK 520 in gold and JT and Driven sprockets.
If you know what you're doing, chain and sprockets should last at least 2 seasons of riding, track and/or street.
Longest lasting would be a high quality 525 chain, and steel sprockets. OEM chain is a 525 EK 3D, the alternative to that would be the highest strength 525 DID chain. Steel sprockets are the way to go, most brands are probably good: vortex, superlite, OEM/sunstar. Proper chain slack and maintenance and you should see 30-50k miles out of a set. If you’re drag racing often stepping up to a 530 is probably worth while.
Replaced my stock EK 3D at 16,000 miles with another EK3D in black and gold. OEM Zepher front sprocket because it's rubber covered and doesn't yowl like aftermarket ones do. Supersprox for the rear.
