The Arai Defiant Jolly Roger 2 Helmet features a black, green, and blue color scheme with a "frost" matte finish. Josh Hayes' signature skull and crossbones logo is surrounded by sprockets on both sides of the helmet.

The Defiant has that smooth, organic shell shape that Arai prides themselves in, providing a helmet that better manages impact energy in a crash. A multi-density EPS liner helps aid in energy absorption upon impact.

The IR chin vent, IC-4 upper intake vents, and ACR-4 exhaust vent all work together with the brow vent system to ensure comfortable air flow and heat removal. More specifically, the brow vents redirect air to the temples rather than the forehead.

The IR front-spoiler edge trim reduces buffeting and helps to stabilize the helmet.

This helmet's interior is completely removable, washable, and replaceable. Additionally, the cheek pads can be removed in 5mm increments to achieve a perfect fit.

The Defiant is both D.O.T. and Snell 2015 certified.

Mike, I really really want this but am afraid to pull the trigger because of fitment worries.

I've never owned Arai, just my Bell RS-1 and an Icon Alliance both of which fit my head well.

I do not have a round head. My RS-1 is a large and is just about perfect, although I feel I might have been able to make do with a medium.

How do you think this Arai will fit?

This is considered a Intermediate Oval, same a Corsair X. Bell and Icon don't really provide what interior head shapes (I have found to be considered slightly narrow) they are so it is worth giving it a try! We offer hassle free exchanges/returns if it doesn't fit for you. You would just be responsible for shipping costs back to us, no restock fees.

I want it,just not sure how it will be on a sport bike .I know it's mainly for upright bikes.

I went and looked at this helmet and tried it on locally.

It will be just fine on a sportbike and the fit, finish, and quality of this helmet is impeccable.

I cannot wait to get mine and start riding in it, should arrive tomorrow!

After riding in this helmet a few times on my ZX10 I can say that this helmet really is not meant for full tuck.

Riding around town on my bike in this helmet is wonderful.

But when I get out on the highway, or on some open roads, open the throttle and shift to a full tuck, the helmet design becomes apparent that it was not meant for that.
In a full tuck the helmet gets pushed down and in on your face.

I'm debating on whether I want to stick with this helmet or get another one.

The fit, finish, quality, and comfort of this helmet is impeccable but that it just lacks the full tuck experience.
