Of the top 10 finishers for 2009 only 4 riders have secured a ride/team for next year. Josh Hayes/Factory Yamaha, Tommy Hayden/Blake Young/Yoshimura Suzuki, and Aaron Yates/Jordan Suzuki (Jake Zemke signed with Jordan/Suzuki but didn’t race superbikes in 09). Pegram will probably run his own team again for 10 but nothing has been said yet on what bike. Edmondson/DMG really screwed American SBK and the fans. :headshake

1 Mat Mladin-retired
2 Josh Hayes
3 Tommy Hayden
4 Larry Pegram-?
5 Ben Bostrom-?
6 Blake Young
7 Aaron Yates
8 Geoff May-?
9 Taylor Knapp-?
10 Jake Holden-?

I hear you. It wasnt long ago that AMA Superbike was held in high regard. Only a slight notch below World Superbike.

on a high note tho, roger edmonson has stepped down so hopefully somebody will get that series back on track
It remains to be seen whether whoever replaces him will do any better. Also, it may be too late to save the 2010 season. We'll see.

If this keeps up, there will be scarcely any riders left to run what's left of the DMG series even IF they fix all their problems by the start of the 2010 season which is only two months away ...
