It's loud, but not overly so at low RPM's. It is significantly lighter than stock but I have no numbers for you. I was charged $300 for a map so I'd say you're in the ball park. You should consided trying the downloaded Akra map though. It's damn close to the custom map I'm running.

yea what he said.

I dont think mine is that loud at all, under 5k that is.

as for the custom map, waste of money imo.

Lots of guys have built maps already.

Just load them up and see how you like them before you go custom.

Great exhaust system. I weighed mine when it came in, and the entire system, still in the packaging weighed less than the the stock muffler. I think it was like 8 pounds in the packaging, and the stock muffler was close to 9 pounds.

If you are serious enough about power and weight reduction to buy the EVO 2, you should get a custom map made. No two bikes are alike and what part of the country you ride in will affect the map also. IMO, there are too many armchair PCIII tuners out there. Going by the butt dyno can be very deceiving. What you think makes the bike run better may be just the opposite.
I'm not saying you have to go to an official tuning center to get a good map. Some people might come up with a good map for their bike, but like I said if you want the most hp and rideability from your bike, take it to a reputable tuner.

BTW, the EVO 2 is sweet. You won't be disappointed.

:+1: I would take it to a tuner. One with an a/f ratio sniffer. You can run it on a dyno without an a/f sniffer and tune it for most power, but it might be a little too lean in some spots and would cause detonation.
