Gday everyone. Has anyone had any luck bypassing their ABS for race bikes, i am thinking of removing mine but i would like to hear from someone who has attempted this already. I dont know if just removing brake lines and fitting some braided lines is the answer. Im sure some ABS fault codes will come up.cheers.

I've heard you can just pull the fuse to disable the system for when you're on the track.

What happens if you simply leave it connected?

Normal riding on the track should be below the ABS threshold ... unless you screw up, in which case, having the ABS ought to be better than not having it.

Local BMW S1000R racers last year were running them with traction control "off" but ABS engaged. On that bike, the ABS does some automatic front/rear brake bias that are a good thing to be doing anyway, this way the rider doesn't have to concern themselves with it.
