Hey guys closer and closer I'm leaning towards Carbon Fiber Akros for my
'07 10R SE..Currently have A&R Racing Baffles on ...they sound good the only thing bugs me sometimes is the drone noise 3-4,000 rpm but above that and below they sound awesome...has anyone went to bolt-on Akros from A&R Race Baffles? which one does sound better? Thanks..

akros are kind of quiet if you ask me. A&Rs are loud and sound good.

A&R's are loud and sound cheap. They are and leak a lot.

Akro looks nice. Have you seen pics of others on here? Devil pics are around.
Some liked them some didn't. I'd like to see a KR Tuned on a Gen2.

A&R is a good value, but compared to a nice pipe there's no comparision. My Arata's have a smooth rumble about them.

I have been thinking about putting the A & R baffles on my SE. I really like the Akro's but I hate to pay that much for them. I think the best I could find on a pair of slip ons locally was for like $841.26. A $102.00 for the baffles is looking better all the time.

i have a full system on my street 06 zx10R, and a stock system with the Baffel kit on my race (06 ZX10RR) bike. Ive installed them on my ten twice and they always get lose inside the housing and rattle like hell.

Now the A&R are loud and on the track it gives me that scream I like and want.. The full Akra system is deep and throaty..

To me its like
Electric guitar = A&R
Rap Bass = Akra

They sound totaly different, but depends on what you like. I like deep bass and keeping quite on the streets. (its better when cars cant hear you).

On the track I want to hear my bike scream so i know when to shift.

ps: Id be interested in that knocked out cat...let me know how much...if you need 2 ill trade ya my stock cat...or what ever..

I think so too...I've seen all the Akro videos on the 10R and they seem quieter...
They are nice I had akra on my CBR, but not loud enough. Great power though

Mine dont! It all depends on the packing job you perform on them. The inside baffle needs to be surrounded by packing material.

Check this out, I had ordered my a&r baffles like 10k miles ago. The guy I ordered them from here in town said that a&r use to have a lot of problems with leaking and rattling. Supposedly the newer a&r baffles kit comes with some piece that goes inside the baffles that helps them not leak and rattle. I will try to get the guy on here to explain more in depth...

I love the a and r baffle kit on my 10R. But they did start to rattle so I went to my local auto parts store and purchased better and a little bit bigger rivets and from then on no rattles.
