I have a 2012 zx, I want to make it a track bike only. In the past with my hondas if I disconnected the brake or headlight the bike wouldn't start. When I bought the bike the guy gave me a set of homemade track fairings. I know I need to remove the headlights and brake lights.
1. Will the bike start after removal of these? If not what do I need to do to get the bike to run without them?
2. The bike come with gear indicator, however it's really small and hard to locate while riding. Is there a way to make it bigger? Please explain how if it's possible.

Thanks in advanced

Unplug the lights and see if it will start. Yes, it shouldn't have a problem starting with those disconnected.

Read your owners manual or the service manual on how to change the instrument cluster into race mode. If you didn't know about that, it puts the gear selection mid-view where the speed is. It's pretty common knowledge and been talked about previously.
