As an avid car road racing fan from that era and an avid Kawasaki fan from that era, I have to admit that I never heard of this project. Wow. During exactly the same time period, I helped work on a homebuilt race car that also ran a motorcycle engine. It was a Lambert Special. The original motorcycle engine was a kawasaki H2, but the owner really never gave that motor a fair chance and promplty switched to a Suzuki water buffalo engine (750 triple also but water cooled). And in a quest for more power, he later switched to a Yamaha TZ750 motor. Years later when the rules changed for the class, he changed to an early model ZX10 motor. I got to drive it in that configuration and it was exciting, indeed. I won some races with it, but it needed aero refinement after going through all of the various configurations with the original bodywork. That was a fun era, indeed.

Can Am days were serious , driving anything back then required serious minerals.
