Hey guys,maybe ya can help me out. Just put a ported head on my 4th gen,just got it back together and it runs fine,but it will shut off at an idle or a low rev of about 3 thousand. It throws no codes and refires instantly. Anyone had this sort of problem? Thanks,roy.

Then I would say it most definitely does not run fine. start with simple stuff first before you begin pulling the hard parts back apart. The symptoms sound like a vacuum leak, maybe a pinched fuel line? That’s what I’d check first. I’ll be curious to see how you feel about the mods once you get the problems sorted.

Smurfslayer,when i said it runs fine i meant the motor had no mechanical issues. I think i have traced it to a bad pcv. Got a new one today so i will know for sure tommorow.

Check your idle. Does it run fine and shut off when it warms up?

Cresent,i found that it also shuts off going down the road 60 mph.
