Kawi claimed the Gen 5 pipes were designed/influenced by Akra pipes in wsbk. I can see similarities some. Akra were using cross tubes I think since my Gen 1. Def had them on my Gen 2.
Arrow use balance pipes alot too typically on systems with the flow and bore that lowers backpressure so much for top end power the balance is needed to maintain exit flow.

I bet that gen6 pipes with a slip on will give excelent results

Lots of roll racers use oem gen5 headers. Unless they are trying to sell you something

The OEM gen5 headpipe is nearly perfect for peak power. It's the midrange that the aftermarket full systems are good at boosting. Brock Performance has a few videos explaining this through Gen5 dyno run comparisons.

What brand is the new ECU?
It's Bosch... I think most of the IMU stuff is all Bosch now...same as in the BMW with Kawi coding/Programing. Makes me wonder if thats whats in the new R1 also. That could explain why it's hard to crack and code them....well...legally.

The way the 2021 Headers look.... I am willing to bet the have pre-cats in the collector tubes....They are different from the Gen 5 a little.
I do think Ill go full Akra. The pipe look like it bottle necks right infront of the cats...where the sensor plugs in.

I wonder when the new Akras will be ready.

btw, it seems that the headers are really bended to fit the oil cooler, so does the gen5/2016-2020 header one really able to fit ?
I would use an oem muffler from 2016-2020 on 2021 (with a middle decat pipe) to limit loud (italian track circuit block access over 99 db), do you think that it shoule be possible ?
It seems that the '16 muffler is really shorter than '21.

Ive seen different Gen 5 full systems used on the Gen 6, but the headers are usually VERY close or sitting on part of the oil cooler. That defeats the purpose, and scare me if the heat/rubbing do something and have hot oil spray out from that location. Ill wait for Akra....they never ever release a product with out testing.
