He was going so slow, did he just hit dirt on the edge of the road?
I can't believe the city put the sign there.. That's an impact zone area and I think that will add a target fixation situation for a lot of riders..

He ran out of road. As the photographer said "you just ran wide".

Buddy trying to blame it on road conditions lol.
Maybe saw the cop sitting there and slowed which caused him to go wide? Sucks either way. Thankfully it didn't look like he got too much more than a scraped up elbow.
Glad he is alright other than his pride. Can say that has never happened in front of me. It's possible he got distracted if/when he saw the cruiser which could have caused him to veer to the edge of the road. Could have been some debris on the roadway causing him to lose control. But in the end it was good he didn't get badly hurt, he could have struck the post and been seriously injured.
If you watch the slo-mo replay at the end, he clearly just goes wide on the turn and into the dirt off the road. Don't think he got distracted by the cop, just happened to be coincidence.

Did anyone else notice that the sign he hit was a "no stopping" sign? At the end of the video the cop is writing him a ticket. Probably for stopping in the no stopping zone. :badteeth:

Let me guess, he just financed it, and no insurance. :badteeth:
Well at least he had his dirt bike gear on for the dirt and rocks. He was dressed like he was going to cruise through some trails or back roads lmao.

That was my first thought. There are two signs there that weren't there before and someone is going to get seriously hurt on them.

Lucky he was not in front of the bike and between it and the sign. I think he just ran wide. It could of been tsrget fixation on the sign. Regardless, it happened and hopefully he lesrned something in the process.

On second look, he just ran wide. He shoudk of dialed in Euro style flicked sooner. :)

I thnk the cop was writing an accident report.

I don't know but maybe it's there so other bikes don't park on the shoulder there. That way when someone bins it there they only take their own bike out and not several other bikes too. But yeah, it could be further down the road a bit for sure.

I see that corner in so many videos, it must have a very deceptive entry or be off camber or something.
Always find it weird to see full case savers and sliders yet blue jeans and a sweatshirt ?
sigh.. I rode that road.. still not sure why so many crashes take place there.. Its a Popular road in socal.. Jay Leno often takes a sunday cruise.. The stretch of road is not far either. There are so many nicer roads in the area. Yep.. the guy went wide.. Could have just stood his bike up and rolled on the dirt or committed and leaned it over.. If he had proper gear like knee pucks. Glad he is OK though.

A friend has ridden there on few occasions and he said the darn corner was slightly off camber. Maybe that is why there is a sea of camera guys standing there waiting for some unlucky chap to go down.

Glad the video guy was ok. Like someone said, it could have been really bad incase it was him between the sign and the bike. That bike looks totaled to me, guess the frame took a nasty impact.

I know the crash is sad, but Im glad the guy is ok. I couldnt help but laugh at the couple going by on the Grom or Z125.

Also, it is an off camber corner. Ive been there once. Didnt really like the road much. It is legitamtely a slow speed corner though, its pretty tight. There are a looooloooot of people that crash on that corner though.
The entire idea that people want so desperately to get attention on a public road and that others are so willing to give it by standing there with cameras is just ghey to me.

Even when I used to ride on the street we did that shit out in the middle of nowhere as far away from the eyes of the public as possible.

That wanker in the video above probably immediately posted that to Facebook to prolong the experience...
