Glad it wasn't you! That sucks for whoever it was though.
He ran out of road. As the photographer said "you just ran wide".He was going so slow, did he just hit dirt on the edge of the road?
That was my first thought. There are two signs there that weren't there before and someone is going to get seriously hurt on them.I can't believe the city put the sign there.. That's an impact zone area and I think that will add a target fixation situation for a lot of riders..
:lol:If you watch the slo-mo replay at the end, he clearly just goes wide on the turn and into the dirt off the road. Don't think he got distracted by the cop, just happened to be coincidence.
Did anyone else notice that the sign he hit was a "no stopping" sign? At the end of the video the cop is writing him a ticket. Probably for stopping in the no stopping zone. :badteeth:
I don't know but maybe it's there so other bikes don't park on the shoulder there. That way when someone bins it there they only take their own bike out and not several other bikes too. But yeah, it could be further down the road a bit for sure.I can't believe the city put the sign there.. A friend has ridden there on few occasions and he said the darn corner was slightly off camber. Maybe that is why there is a sea of camera guys standing there waiting for some unlucky chap to go down.I don't know but maybe it's there so other bikes don't park on the shoulder there. I see that corner in so many videos, it must have a very deceptive entry or be off camber or something.
