Thought i would post a thread and discussion where i can pick the brain of those who self tune and help me dial in. Archer has been helping me a shhiiitttt ton. I messes up by not getting a baseline pull for my bike i kinda went off what everyone else has been running for a baseline. My dyno pull netted 179whp one pull amd 180whp another pull. My mods are
Block off plates
Graves exhaust
Dna air filter
Ais removed
Exup removed

Tune:
KRt race ecu flash
Unrestricted
14.2k rev limit
91 octane fuel

After speaking with archer i did make my rev limit lil to high but i pulled all the way to my redline. May be my elevation im almost 4.1k above sea level. My questions for those self tuning how big of adjustments are you guys making meaning are you adjusting in increments of 2,5,10 which areas do you focus on more?

The fall off is at 14.2k i can get the exact number if you guys want. The place i took my bike to was truly unaware of woolich and advised i get a power commander...i dont see the point in a pcv unless im overlooking something pcv can do that woolich cant.

Tell him to send you the file of your dyno runs. He should be able to email it to you.
Did he hook up the tach pickup in the tail in order to get a tach signal? Or did he just put it on the bike and grip it and rip it?
Put it on the bike and rip it. Gearing is 16t front 40 rear the fall off off is where he hit the rev limiter and let off the first pull was 3rd Last 2 were 4th. Starting to think because they couldnt get a tune out me they just went through motions. Ill swing by tomorrow for the other graph
How can you value of one map to another mode. Meaning right now on F mode im running a mapshare file. on my M mode i want to put the values of my krt race ecu file.
Damn i should try another shop with a dyno idk how to explain how he ran it
uploaded my dyno run from the shop I was at to youtube, what do you guys think? It should have been one gear not all

The AFR line you posted is garbage. I would be embarrassed to give that to a customer. Also, if you are paying hundreds for a custom map, they should be hooking up a tach signal and getting torque numbers too.
Now with that being said, I think 180rwhp is a really good number for your bike and mods. Gen 5 aint no joke!

They weren't tuning it they said they can't because I do not have a PC. I just wanted to see where my bike was with my mods I thought they would be able to help but ended up just being couple dyno pulls
I took your chart and the gear based charts and imported it into Photoshop so I could measure things out.

So looking at your dyno. Peak power is made right at or around 122 MPH.

You mentioned you're running 16/40 gearing. Depending on what gear the dyno operator ran the bike in, that will effect things considerably. We'll look at both 3rd and 4th.
The last Gen 5 ZX10R I dyno'd and flashed made power all the way to the rev limiter. I'd have to look at the graph again but it made 184whp and it was right at the limiter.

OP, if your shop is recommending a power commander, I'd find another shop. Power commanders are old technology and can fail occasionally.
This is mine with following mods:
Sprint Air filter
Woolich tune
Arrow racing system
Over rev 500rpm

That's at the crank? I'm not using them for tuning. Just wanted them to put my bike on the dyno, I'm just tweaking with diff tunes right now I'm heading to ga tomorrow for a military move. Was going to stop in Mesquite Texas for a actual tune.
Hey archer were you able see the dyno vid?. He went through the gears never hit redline.

Is that pump gas? 500 over so your redlining at 14.5? How often you go that high?
The dyno that kingali showing is in STD. SCE should be around 190 HP . none restricted map (Euro map) puts out 190 HP without tuning. you can get few more HP on the top end with tuning.

some shops with dyno don't calibrate their dyno and either shows high or low sometimes. just make sure your A/F is correct and I wouldn't worry about the dyno number. unless you are a professional rider and on Racing that few HP matter.

I wouldn't think that few HP on top would matter anyway.

Yeah i was set to have kws do 2 tunes but rode to NYC instead hopefully in 2weeks next pay i could get that way.

That's running 98 high octane. This is a race bike, so down the straights help that little bit
