See the video. Thought it might be cam chain tensioner. Tried adjusting it with no luck. Started a month ago so I haven't been riding it.

Any thoughts?

Yeah, you can understand my cause for concern. Any ideas?

Geez. Is it running ok otherwise?
Yeah, it feels fine. Just that super loud ticking.
Don't notice anything. Sounds quiet to me. However, I'm only used to g4's

Well, it sounds like a bad rod bearing, but that would be causing running issues. And it sounds like it's coming more from the left side than the right. But hard to tell in the video. I'd probably pull the stator cover and make sure that's not rubbing on the case at all.

pull the stator cover my bet bolts backed out hitting the rotor seen a few do that
Well I replaced the cam chain tensioner and that was NOT it. Not even sure what the stator cover is, though.
That's the same shit mine did when my valve retainer clip shattered.
I replaced CCt rode it cause I thought it was better, the noise was still faint but not as loud. Then about 5 miles from home the ticking got super loud like yours.
Now I'm rebuilding the top-end. Luckily I didn't cause more damage at least I don't think I did!
+1 on Check the Stator cover. Left side. No oil will leak out.
So that is a plus. And it is easy to check.
2 of the bolts backed out on me. However Mine sounded
like more of a screeching....kind of like brakes.
Mine is a 2008
What exactly am I checking on it? All the bolts appear to be tight, unless I need to take it off to check something else?

Not the outside cover bolts. You need to pull the engine cover off the left side of the motor and check the bolts holding the coil to the inside.
Took all of it apart this morning. All the bolts were nice and tight, so I'm back at square one now.
I just re-uploaded the video I took of mine after I replaced the cam chain tensioner, have a look and tell me if you think it sounds the same as yours, it does to me...

Mine didn't have any power loss really either when this happened. Might be worth a look inside your valve cover if no one else has any easier or little things to check first. I understand yours is a different year but crazy shit happens I hope it's not a broken retainer clip for your sake.
Now that I have the APE cam chain tensioner installed I can manually adjust it. The ticking I'm hearing is definitely not from that.

I have no idea now where the sound is coming from. I'd have to go look for this valve cover and retaining clip you're talking about if I want to check it out.
Checking for the broken retainers can be pretty involved job, I'm not saying you should do it because it might be something else. I'm just putting it out there that I had the exact same problem, tried fixing with a ape manual cct just like you lol and it still ticked. I rode it and eventually the tick came back really loud after a short ride. I took it to the shop where they took it apart and showed me the broken clip on the intake side. They were amazed that it still ran lol.

You probably want to wait for someone with more experience to give you some other things to check before diving in that deep or take it to a trusted shop as a last resort.
