Wow glad you guys are doing good!

What I saw this weekend on the street differed greatly from what is said here. The 08 10 we have here is a turtle, we were messing around from some second gear rolls with an 08 GSXR both with stock gearing and both with 165lb guys on them. They are both lowered, the GSXR has an Alien Head for its only mod. It was sad, the Suk put an honest 15-20 bike lengths on the Kaw by the top of 5th. It literally looked like he was racing a 750, he just drove away.

Hopefully the 10 picks up ALOT with a pipe.
 Wow! Maybe with a junior rider but not in the real world on a proper bike with a proper rider

I would highly doubt that unless the driver was a pansy and was scarred to open the throttle.

I don't care what you guys say. I'm a believer in the new 10 after seeing one this weekend at the AMAs in Valdosta. Stock wheelbase, pipe, strap, went 165 and ran down a busa after bogging off the line. I can't remember the ET but it was low 9s no power adders.

Got to see Ricky run that 14 too. His times weren't the fastest but he was just to smooth and consistent for anybody to give him a run.

33 years of drag racing i can tell you this new zx10 is going to set a new standard on what's fast.... I have never felt a stock bike hit so hard in the upper RPMs .... The bottom end power is the problem .... In the right hands like Kenny or Richard or Ricky the bike is going to fly !!! This bike pulls much harder than my zx14 when it's in it power band ...Trick is getting in the power band and keeping the front wheel on the track ... I would think with some gears and pipe and tune the mid range power will improve and make the hit at 8k softer making the bike much easier to ride ....

P/S Richard rode two bikes ... He rode Chris Jones silver turbo zx14 into the low 8s and he rode the black stock wheel base 08 zx10 into the low 9s ....Ricky also rode a turbo zx14 with a Muzzy turbo tuned by Coby Adams in the 7s .... The winner of the real street class was a guy out of Houston TX and was riding a zx10 on spray ...He killed everyone in the field running 8.40s ....

I wish I could do a drag run with my bike. We don't have a strip around this area. Sure would like to get some #'s on it.

Wow, not taking anything at all from Ricky or Kenny, but that was Richard Gadson riding that thing.
Not sure what your talking about here as Rickey or Kenny would have done the same or maybe better on that 10R. :dontknow: what is impressive it wasn't SS Motor or chassis ready almost stock. I know those tracks back east get good #s with their conditions but it wasn't to many years ago anyone hitting 9.2s with a pure SS Prostar 1000cc bike that 9.2s could get you into the winners circle. The rules keep changing but still an indication for more to come.:thumbsup:

bluedevil ? track back east are faster ? I ran the same numbers in Sac years back as i did in TX and FL ...Hell Sac is only 96 feet above seal level and a much lower humidity level spring and fall than FL will ever be ...Now i would agree that the tracks in South Ca do suck because being so far above sea level .. But Sac has and will allways be a fast track ... Redding is not too slow either but is slower than Sac .. ...
