Just came from the dyno yesterday with these numbers

158.6 rwhp
79.3 rwtq

All that has been done is a Muzzy slip-on. Also the bike has 7500 miles on it. Chris Hill @ Performance Psycle in Knoxville, TN performed the work. The bike seemed to gain power all thru the rpm's and is smoother when cruising. I was told that a Kawasaki race cam would pick up about 3-4 hp and a full system would add 3-4 hp. Does this seem correct? I will post my dyno sheet as soon as possible.

The numbers seem good but I and most don't use the numbers as gospel. Rather use it as a baseline, so that you can see what happens after other performance based mods.

Most dyno's can be off if not setup correctly or by the technician because people want to see the highest numbers possible.

If getting a custom map done, ask the tech to make it as streetable as he can unless you are using it for strictly track. You will most likely lose a few on the top end but overall it will be dead on for street riding.

My was 160hp on Chris' dyno with a muzzy slip on and power commander with an air filter.

Numbers sound good for a slip-on. I think my '04 gained 8 horse after an EVO 2 system and PC with Ivan's map. Then it gained another 9 after the thin gasket, degreed stock cams, and MD Racing map. FWIW, Ivan says you will lose more midrange than what you add on top so unless you are a dragracer/top speed guy you will be disappointed. A big number on the dyno isn't always good.

And like Tread mentioned, there are tons of variables involved with what kind of number you get from a dyno run not even including the fact that the dyno operator can make the numbers look as good or bad as they want. A dyno is a tuning device and as far as numbers go, the important thing is the gain or loss you achieve after making modifications.

Chris does all my tuning. :thumbsup:

My black 04 10R is at his shop now waiting on parts.

I have the same setup, but you should have done a baseline. I did mine with a Muzzy slip-on and used the same operator, dyno, air conditions just after that. The first run stock with a BMC filter was 151.1...second run adding the Muzzy was 156.6 if I remember right but it was a 5hp increase..so really hard to tell anything about your numbers with no baseline...sorry.
