Hey Guys,
I just recently picked up some sliders (actually rails) that bolt to the upper front engine mount.
This happens to be the bolt that is half exposed on the top fairing. The bottom of the bolt is below.
Now, I have no issues cutting fairings usually, but in this specific case the slider is half below the fairing and half above, which means cutting perhaps a some for of a funny elongated hole.
A hole saw won't do it cleanly I don't think. I'll likely just end up using a dremel, but I'm just wondering if anyone here had issues making a clean cut in such an awkward spot.
Also curious to know if doing so made the fairings flimsy since the curved edges at the top surely add structural support to the fairing itself.
If I don't make sense, I can take a photo if that helps.
Thanks!
