Hey fellas, I have about a 1/2" of play in my throttle. In other words I have to twist the throttle 1/2" before any power is applied. Is there a way to fix or adjust this?

Thanks for any suggestions

JK, there should be an adjuster about 5 to 8" down the cable. Simply turn it out until you have only a couple MM. HTH.

You should be able to adjust all the slack out. The top throttle cable will need to be adjusted out (made longer). Retighten the locking nut.

Also a 1/5th throttle insert will help a ton.

did you fix it
I played with the adjustment. Didn't help much. I think maybe it's stretched out too much.
The bike has 8700 miles, do u think it time to replace? I just got it and I don't think anything has been replaced, no maintenance records. What else should I consider replacing?

Thanks
