Left home for work for a total of 18 miles from my driveway to work. There was no oil on the ground where i parked my bike. Got about 5 miles from work and took a turn and felt my back tire slide a lil so i turned around a lil and noticed a lil smoke. Started pulling over and noticed my back tire started to lock up. Continued to get off the road where i got off and noticed i had a crazy oil leek. Bike never got above 165 and oil pressure light never came on. Oil was leaking from a the filter coming loose. This is the second time it has done that in a couple of months. Refilled oil, unhooked battery, and also have jumper cables on it because my high beam is not coming on so i am kinda thinking battery. Without the cables as soon as i try to start my display goes blank for a second and basically acts like im just turning the key on again. Fuel pump kicks on it will turn over but will not stay started. Have had cables hooked to it for about an hour. Plz help.

First please safety wire your filter.....twice is very lucky it wasn't worse.
Are you sure it isn't double gasketed ? happens when the old seal sticks to the block

Are the battery terminals tight?

does it actually start than stall or it cranks but doesn't start?
Yea i was keeping an eye on it but it had been doing good for about a month so i havent been checking it as much. Yes terminals are tight i took them off and let it sit for about 20 mins before putting them back on. As i am starting it i can rev it for about 3 seconds or so and then it basically dies. With it is unhooked from battery charger or jumpers my display just goes blank and basically restarts like im turning the key on again.
