Same plug n play harness...There were members here when the first 3rd gens were coming out receiving 06/07 pcIII's and they were working. So yes it will work!!

pcV will not work!!! The connections are the same between the 06/07 vs 08/09 models but the ecu on the 08/09 model will handle a pcV vs the 06/07 will not...I saw someone try and his bike wouldn't start...So if you want to try it will be a waste of time and money if you own a 2nd gen and try putting a pcV on your bike...
