I tried searching but came up w/ nothing. Does anybody know of any compatibility issues w/ the swap?

It would just be a matter of getting the diameter of both. If they are the same diameter, you should be able to just swap out the front end without changing the triple tree's

Maybe someone with both the 08 and 05 side by side will chime in. I'm very interested in doing the same, mainly the brake upgrade though.

both fork are 43mm inverted and from the driven clip-on part number, it appears that the 08 fork tube diameter is 50mm. also according to vortex they group 04-09. same as all previous gens. not sure on front axle diameter though.

i was under the impression that all gens to date were 50mm fork tube diameter.

Not 100%, but I think 10roller is onto something with the front axel diameter... You'd probably need an 08/09 front rim also.

Probably not much of an issue but I believe they are different lengths aswell. I know as far as the ohlins rt forks they definitely are.
