I have a 2nd gen 07 zx10r and it was recently stolen. Recovered bike and the ignition is messed up bad along with the triple tree. Due to not being able to get parts for the 07 I want to throw a Gen 3 triple tree and ignition switch on my Gen 2. Anyone done anything like this or have any advice. Will the Gen 3 upper triple fit my Gen 2? I'm not worried about the wiring. I've checked schematics and I'm confident I can get the new ignition to work. The trees look identical to each. I did read the Gen 3 has longer forks and makes a thicker triple to compensate for that. Will that cause issues? Thank you
