07 forks vs 04

I happened upon a really good deal of 07 forks and my 04 track bike is in need of new seals. I've successfully adapted gen 2 ohlins to a gen 1 via a simple 25mm OD, 20mm ID, 38mm L bushing. I'm curious if, stock for stock, the 07 forks would constitute and upgrade to the 04. From what I can tell they're the same length and have the improved guts that the 05 had, if not better.
