Hey I've looked all around but I haven't found anything like what I have. When I turn the key to on, the gauge lights up and everything works normal. But when I press the button to start all I get is a clicking noise which is the starter solenoid actuating. I changed the battery to a new lithium ion and it's still the same outcome. We got it to push start one time but when I tried to ride off the bike died and now we can't get it to push start again. The fuel pump starts normally also. I don't know the last time the spark plugs were changed so I'm going to start with changing those first. Also we tried to jump the starter solenoid and no joy. I have yet to test the stator but if I can't even start the bike can I test it?

The plugs have nothing to do with cranking. Neither does the stator. Sounds like a bad starter solenoid. And since you jumped that and got the same result, that's most likely your issue. Don't over complicate it.

Jump the starter directly to the battery and see if it cranks up.
Thanks for the input. I am going to search and try to jump it to the starter.

I can't seem to find anything for starting directly to the starter. Do you have a link sir?

Follow the wire from the starter motor up to the solenoid and disconnect it. Touch it to the positive terminal of the battery.
Also when I said it sounds stupid I didn't mean what you said sounds stupid I meant what I was going to say sounds stupid
